My professional career has the stamps of IECISA, Telefónica, BBVA, Banco Santander, Health Services of Madrid, Andalusia and Valencia, the Ministry of Defense as well as different public administrations (Igae, Map, Sepe), Fujitsu Services …

I took up the challenge of getting involved in the Arumel adventure in 2015, attracted by their different approach to customer service, their professionalism and high level of demand and preparation. I was enticed by their mantras:

• – No question unanswered.
• – No excuses.
• – No responsibilities avoided or passed onto someone else.
• – Critical thinking.

Do you know when, in any context of our lives, you are given an answer that does not seem convincing or that lacks credibility, and however much you try to get an explanation, searching for the truth, it gets stuck there, without ever advancing, until everyone forgets, surrenders, or worst of all, assumes it as impossible? This would not happen at Arumel.

Passionate about understanding and solving problems. I enjoy ongoing development and teamwork.

Certified in Oracle (OCP from 9i, Tuning, RAC, SQL, OVM), operating systems such as RedHat (Virtualization, RHCE), Suse, ITIL (Intermediate) good practices, project management Prince2 … and some others that are already embarrassing such as solaris 9 and Abrigo, Windows 2000 and 2003.

So, if you trust us, we will happily make life easier for you, at least in what concerns the technical side.

Hi!! I’m Elena.

My first steps in the computer science world took place while studying Engineering at the University of A Coruña, combining the final undergraduate years with my professional career.

My initial projects happened in the banking world, managing DNS firewall, webs, databases (Mysql/Postgresql) and email servers on Linux and Solaris platforms. I participated in the development of the call centre infrastructure for the Banco Pastor online office as well as in the advertisement campaigns of the group companies. I was then responsible for administration and maintenance tasks of central and voice recorders as well as the software and associated applications.

In 2003 I joined a small group of Banco Pastor’s CPD administrators and in particular the open system (nonmainframe) team. Among the main duties I was in charge of are the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and support of the Microsoft Windows network infrastructure (Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP), Citrix technology, database environments (Oracle / SQL Server), datawarehouse (Oracle), financial terminal, International Financial Messaging (SWIFT) applications, software distribution, application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Oracle Weblogic), BI tools (Cognos / Microstrategy) and departmental applications; this was both for the bank and the group companies. I joined Arumel in 2015, where I fit in perfectly thanks to my experience in production environments and my serious and responsible nature.

Hi!! I’m Almudena or Almu or Mude … even “wikialmu”, whatever you prefer.

When I first met Anton and Alberto I was an intern at R Cable, having just finished my Mathematics degree at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Shortly afterwards, I was chosen to participate in the Systems Exploitation Center; at the time I did not know why but they gave me the answer later. Those were my first steps as a junior in the demanding world of systems management in production. Later on, when the R Cable project came to an end, I joined the Sergas and continued doing the same but already becoming an Oracle DBA. Then, in 2011 Anton and Alberto contacted me again but this time for a different adventure: to become the person responsible for Arumel’s Support, Operation and Maintenance Service. They felt I was the right person because of my organisational skills as well as the required thoroughness and discipline.

Then Inés, my first daughter, was born. Hard times indeed! If you are reading this and are a mother, you’ll know what I’m talking about. I wasn’t sure whether I was a good mother or if I was a good professional … I had doubts about being both at the same time and as good as I wanted to be. I reduced my working hours and thanks to the support of the Arumel guys and my husband, I managed to combine both responsibilities, successfully as I am told. Inés grows up happily and I enjoy the happiness of doing what I like in life. It feels really great!

Apparently, you can not make others happy without being happy yourself. Happiness is a very contagious feeling!! Our professional aim at Arumel is to be happy with what we do; we enjoy what we do because we firmly believe that it is the only way to make our clients happy.

Hi! I’m Alberto and, first of all, thank you for your interest in my profile.

What can I say about me? I believe that, beyond my professional experience, lists of clients and usual merits, I’m honestly a good DBA. I care about being a professional and ensuring that knowledge and experience overcome costs, apathy and ignorance. Together with my team, we strive to improve processes in order to offer solutions, peace of mind and guarantee to our IT colleagues and therefore to the whole team.

I like to apply the idea brilliantly summarised by Neil Young in the phrase “rust never sleeps” … work actively or, if you let yourself go, you will end up vanishing or disappearing.

Arumel is my way of contributing to society and being part of the achievements of those I work with; analysing, reaching conclusions, informing and acting according to knowledge, reason and arguments. I am part of Arumel by being close to those I collaborate with. Something so simple allows me to enjoy my work just as I do with music, cinema, photography, humour or my “da tralla” gang … and so, as those little fools would say: Hey, ho, let’s go!

Hi!! I’m Anton

I was born in a Galician fishing village. Since I was a child, I’ve been taught to work in order to achieve my dreams; as a young man, life taught me about the pleasure of reaching them and now I enjoy the value of sharing them.

I completed my Computer Science degree in1995 at the University of A Coruña and have worked as an Oracle DBA in small and large organisations ever since; I became a freelance in 2006 with the aim of working freely, responsibly and independently, without accepting the computer error as a cause, ignorance as an apology or “reboot” as a solution and offering a response to human challenges such as creativity and knowledge.

In 2008, my dream of founding Antón Campos Consultores, S.L. whilst keeping the professional vision that defines me was fulfilled. In 2009 Alberto Pereiro, my friend and colleague who shares my vision, joined me in this adventure. The team hasn’t stopped growing ever since.

I am a romantic person at heart who is surrounded by bits. I have the vision of bringing the improvements in the processing and storage of information closer to people with the aim of contributing to the human well-being through continued, fast and secure data access. To do so, I intend to keep growing as a human being, surrounded by people with more talent than me with whom I share my passion; and with the limits of our imagination as the only possible border.
